Privacy Policy

This policy describes the limited information handled by Santa Fe Residents Directory and the choices available to a visitor. The service is a reference to Santa Fe and New Mexico public-record routes. It has no visitor accounts and does not host government records.

Information Sent Directly

A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search box goes to the outside provider that returns the sponsored results. This service does not retain a copy of those searches. If a visitor sends a message, the information in that message is used to answer it.

Automatic Technical Data

Hosting systems may create ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type, timestamp, and pages requested. Aggregate log information helps operate and improve the service. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement.

How Information Is Used

The limited data described here is used to run the service, diagnose problems, understand aggregate traffic, and respond to messages. Visitor lists are not sold and individual visitor profiles are not created.

External Websites

Links lead to government portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search providers. Their own privacy terms control information submitted after leaving this service, including information submitted through sponsored results.

Service Providers and Disclosures

Hosting, analytics, and advertising providers may process the technical data described above to support the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by valid legal process. It is not otherwise shared as a visitor database.

Data Security

The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the operational purposes stated here. Because it has no account system, it does not maintain visitor passwords or member profiles.

Visitors Under 18

This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information so it can be removed where available.

Your Privacy Choices

A visitor may ask about personal data held in a contact mailbox or operational log through the Contact page. New Mexico has no broad consumer data-broker deletion statute verified in the project research. Records held by Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, or New Mexico offices are controlled by their custodians. A request to correct, redact, or inspect such a record must go to the relevant office under its process, including the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978 ยงยง 14-2-1 through 14-2-12, when applicable.

Policy Changes

Any material change will appear here. Continued use after publication of an updated policy indicates acceptance of that update.
